1. Easter Egg Toss Game

Objective: Catch raw eggs without dropping them. Last player standing wins.
Materials: Raw eggs, egg cartons/crates to hold eggs.
Setup: Line up players in a row about 3-5 feet apart facing each other. Give each player 3 raw eggs in an egg carton or crate to start.
Gameplay: Player 1 gently tosses an egg to Player 2. Player 2 catches the egg and tosses it back. See how long you can keep the egg toss rally going without dropping any eggs! If an egg is dropped, that team is out.
Variations:
- Obstacle Egg Toss: Navigate obstacles while tossing and catching eggs. Drop or miss, and you’re out.
- Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Toss: Give each team of set of LED necklaces to wear. Lightly spray the raw eggs in glow in the dark / neon paint. Everyone has to toss and catch glowing eggs in the dark.

2. Raw Egg Crush Game
Objective: Crush a raw egg using only one hand squeezing. Fastest egg crusher wins!
Materials: Multiple raw eggs for each player. Paper towels for clean-up.
Setup: Have each player sit in a circle around a pile of raw eggs. Give each player 3-5 eggs.
Gameplay: On “go” players try crushing their eggs one at a time using one hand to squeeze. Players can only use the palms of their hands – no rings, no fingernails – nothing else). First player to crush all their eggs wins!
It’s not easy to crush an egg with your bare hand because of the egg’s unique shape that distributes pressure evenly and makes it surprisingly strong. See what I mean, by reading this article called the “Impossible Egg Crush“
3. Raw Egg Roulette

Objective: The goal is to avoid being the “unlucky” one who ends up with the raw egg on their head. It’s all about luck, daring, and a bit of strategy.
Materials: 6 eggs: 5 hard-boiled and 1 raw, a space where you don’t mind getting a little messy (or a lot, if you’re going for the prank method!).
Setup: Boil 5 of the eggs until they’re hard-boiled, leaving 1 egg raw. Mix them up so no one knows which egg is which. Gather your players and explain the rules.
Gameplay: Players take turns choosing an egg from the batch. Crack the chosen egg on your forehead. The game continues until someone finds the raw egg. That person is out.
Variations:
- Egg Roulette with a Twist: Before the game starts, write funny dares or challenges on slips of paper If an egg doesn’t crack, the player should draw a slip a paper and complete the challenge inside – if they complete it, they get a special prize.
- Color Coded Eggs: Dye the eggs different colors. Each color can correspond to a different rule or action, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game.
- Egg Roulette Championship: Make it a tournament. Pair up players for initial rounds, with winners advancing to the next round until there’s an ultimate Egg Roulette Champion. This works great for larger groups and adds a competitive edge.
Egg Roulette Version 1
This version turns Egg Roulette into a suspenseful elimination game, perfect for larger groups.
- Objective: Be the last person standing who hasn’t been “egged.”
- Gameplay: Follows the standard method but eliminates players who crack the raw egg on themselves. Reduce the number of hard-boiled eggs by one in each round to increase the odds.
The Great Egg Bamboozle (Egg Roulette Version 2)
Expectation vs. Reality takes a hilarious turn here, where everyone’s in for a surprise!
- Objective: Just for fun, with a twist that will leave everyone equally messy.
- Setup: Pretend as if setting up for the standard game but secretly use all raw eggs.
- Gameplay: Watch as everyone gets a turn to be shocked, ensuring a lot of laughter (and probably a need for showers afterward).
4. Egg & Spoon Race
Objective: The goal is pretty straightforward: race to the finish line without dropping your egg. It’s a test of balance, concentration, and a bit of speed.
Materials: a raw egg and spoon for each player; spoon size can vary for added challenge, a start line and finish line.
Setup: Line up all participants at the starting line, each with a spoon and an egg. Place the egg on the spoon. Get ready to race – no hands to help balance the egg.
Gameplay
- At the signal, everyone races towards the finish line while balancing their egg on the spoon.
- If your egg falls, you must stop, retrieve your egg, and place it back on your spoon before continuing.
- The first one to cross the finish line with their egg still on the spoon wins!
Variations:
- Blindfolded Egg & Spoon Race: Amp up the challenge by blindfolding the racers. You’ll need partners to guide the blindfolded racers with verbal instructions, turning the game into a hilarious test of communication and trust.
- Obstacle Course Race: Set up an obstacle course with cones to weave through, ropes to step over, and other challenges.
- Relay Race: Turn the Egg & Spoon Race into a team event with a relay format. Split participants into teams, and each member must complete a section of the race before passing the spoon (with the egg still on it!) to the next team member. Fastest team wins!
Focus on steady, controlled movements. Sometimes, going a bit slower to keep your egg balanced can be faster than rushing and dropping it.

My Motto? Parties shouldn’t require a week’s worth of prep (or cleanup).
If your idea of party planning is more “wing it with style” than “schedule every second”, you’re my kind of people. Come for the laughs and good times, but stay for the goodies that make party planning a breeze (or at least less of a hurricane).
5. Easter Egg Balance
Objective: Balance your egg on a plate for as long as possible. You’ll be challenged to balance different positions: in front of you, on your head, and behind your back. The person who keeps their egg balanced for the longest time wins
Materials: a raw egg and a plate for each player, a timer
Setup: Choose your egg and place it on your plate. The game master has to decide on the starting position for balancing (in front, on head, behind back). Have the timer ready
Gameplay:
- On the signal, start the timer and try to keep your egg balanced as long as possible in the chosen position.
- If your egg falls, your turn ends, and your time is recorded.
- The winner is the person who balances the egg the longest.

6. Egg Pinata Bash

Gameplay: Spin the blindfolded player around 3 times. They then have 1 minute to whack at the dangling egg piñatas and try to break as many as possible before their turn is over. Switch players and teams. The team that breaks the most raw eggs wins
Variations:
- Play music while players swing – when it stops they must freeze
- Put different point values on the eggs
- Give penalties for hitting the tree branch or missing entirely
7. The Great Egg Drop
Objective: Design something that’ll protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from a great height.
Materials: Raw eggs (one per team), Construction materials: plastic straws, masking tape, newspapers, and any other materials you decide to include.
Setup: form teams of four or five. Pass out the raw eggs and construction materials evenly among the teams.
Gameplay:
- Teams have a set amount of time to build their egg-protecting device using only the provided materials.
- After construction, each team’s device (with the egg inside) is dropped from a height to see if it survives.
- The team whose egg survives the drop without cracking wins.
Variations:
- Height Challenge: Increase the drop height after each round, pushing teams to adapt their designs for greater falls.
- Limited Materials: Provide each team with a random set of materials. This forces creativity with what they’re given, making for a wide range of designs.
- Egg Drop Relay: Make it a multi-stage challenge where after the initial drop, teams must quickly modify their design for a second, more challenging drop. This could involve higher drops, specific landing targets, or added obstacles.
Before diving into construction, encourage teams to brainstorm and sketch their designs, considering factors like shock absorption and egg containment.
8. Don’t Step on the Egg
Objective: Navigate from start to finish without stepping on any eggs.
Materials: Blindfold, eggs (choose raw for a daring game or plastic for a cleaner version).
Setup: Lay out eggs on the ground in an outdoor area (or indoors if using plastic eggs).
Gameplay: Blindfolded players walk the course trying not to step on any eggs. Step on an egg, and you’re out.
Variations:
- Egg Zigzag: Create a winding path players must follow.
- Team Navigator: Teams guide their blindfolded member through the egg course using only their voices.
- Egg Balance: Players must carry an egg on a spoon while navigating the course.

Materials: Plenty of raw eggs, a starting line, turnaround point, paper and pen to keep score
Setup: Have players line up behind the starting line, each with a bunch of raw eggs. Mark a point 20 feet away as the turnaround spot.
Gameplay: On “go”, players try balancing as many eggs in one hand as they can, without breaking them, for 30 seconds. Count how many eggs are held and keep score. Then give each player 5 eggs and see who can walk back and forth from the start to the turnaround carrying the eggs in one hand the fastest over 3 laps without breaking them. Broken eggs don’t count!
Variations:
- Require a silly walk while transporting eggs
- Have teams compete in an egg relay race

Setup: Form two teams. Have the first players from each team stand facing each other, blindfolds on. Give each player a raw egg and have them place it on top of their heads.
Gameplay: On “go,” players must stand on one leg while balancing the egg on their heads blindfolded. See who can hold the pose for 1 minute without the egg falling or putting their other foot down. The team with the most wins after each player has gone moves to the next round.
Variations:
- Increase/decrease time limit
- Require players to hop up and down on one foot
- Have whole team try to balance together blindfolded
If you’re feeling nice, before the game starts, give players some time to practice balancing objects on their head to get a feel for the center of gravity.
11. Pass the Egg (with Cups)
Objective: Pass a raw egg from player to player on upside down cups without dropping it.
Materials: Raw eggs, paper or plastic cups (turned upside down)
Setup: Teams line up in relay formation with the first player ready with an egg balanced on their upside down cup.
Gameplay: On “go,” players must carefully pass their egg along by placing the bottom of the next teammate’s upside down cup against theirs and sliding the egg onto the new cup. If the egg falls off a cup, that team must go back to the start. First team to relay their egg to the finish wins!

Safety Tips for Playing Games with Raw Easter Eggs
Easter is the one time it’s okay to put all your eggs in one basket for real.
But before you start playing with those raw Easter eggs or having a big egg-toss game, let’s make sure the only thing that’s funny is your aunt’s weird joke about what the Easter Bunny eats.
Here’s a few super careful tips to make sure your raw easter egg games are fun, happy, and safe:
- Choose Your Arena Wisely: Engage in egg-tivities in an open outdoor area or a room with tile/vinyl flooring for that oh-so-easy cleanup. Eggs and carpets have a long-standing feud, best not to mix the two. Playing on grass is your best bet.
- Dress for Mess: Wear clothes that you won’t mind getting a bit eggy. It’s all fun and games until someone has to explain egg stains to the dry cleaner.
- Keep Pets Away: Dogs and cats might think dropped eggs are an impromptu snack. Keep furry friends away to avoid emergency vet visits.
- Egg First Aid: Have a cleanup kit handy—wet wipes, paper towels, and a trash bag will make you the MVP of post-game cleanup.
- Stay Cool: Keep eggs in the fridge right up until game time. Warm eggs are like ticking time bombs of mess and bacteria.
- Avoid the Plush and Precious: Steer clear of playing on carpet or near furniture that would sob at the sight of an egg stain. It’s all fun and games until someone has to explain the abstract egg art on the living room sofa.
